North Carolina teams took three titles and placed one finalist in the 2019 USTA League Adult 55 & Over Southern Sectional Championships.
USTA Southern crowned eight champions in matches that were played Sept. 13-15 at three sites in Asheville, N.C.: Asheville Racquet Club Downtown (headquarters), Asheville Racquet Club South and Aston Park. There were more than 72 men’s and women’s teams with more than 700 players from nine states.
Durham, N.C. was the sole city with two teams in finals, with the Women’s 3.0 team taking the championships. Alabama and Louisiana had a champion and two finalists while Georgia brought home two crowns.
