If a player is promoted one level in their 2025 year-end rating, they may continue competing at the lower level shown on their 2025 Combo Doubles roster in TennisLink during the USTA Southern Combo Doubles Championship, UNLESS that player is subject to either of the two scenarios below:
- A player is promoted two levels in their 2025 year-end rating. The said player must then compete at the middle level for the USTA Southern Combo Doubles Championship. For example, a player rostered at 2.5 who is promoted to 3.5 in the 2025 year-end ratings would be required to play as a 3.0 in the Southern Championship.
- A player is promoted and dynamically promoted/disqualified in the 2025 year-end rating report (or at any time during the 2026 championship year). Players who are dynamically promoted will be notified by their State League Coordinator. For example, a 3.0 player who is promoted to 3.5 in the 2025 year-end ratings, but reached the DQ threshold for 3.0, would be required to play as a 3.5 in the Southern championship.
